*The last of a dying race, Ra fled his home world in his palatial spacecraft, searching the galaxies for a way to extend his life. He needed a new body, one that with his vast knowledge he could repair and become immortal. He came to Earth in 8,000 B.C. and discovered a primitive race, Humans. He found a young boy and possessed his body. Ra appointed himself ruler of all mankind and was worshipped as a God. Using the STARGATE, he brought thousands of people from Earth to the planet Abydos where they became his slaves in the quartz mines. In a rebellion, the people on Earth buried the STARGATE to prevent his return. Ra vowed that should the STARGATE ever be reopened, he would have his revenge on Earth!
