Osiris was the Egyptian god of the underworld whose father was Horus; the god of sky, and whose mother was Isis. His brother, Seth, killed Osiris; and later chopped the body into many pieces and scattered them throughout Egypt.
The Goa'uld symbiote, Osiris, was trapped in a Goa'uld stasis jar and was freed by Dr. Jackson's former girlfriend Sarah Gardner. Once freed, Osiris took Sarah as his new host. Osiris represented Anubis at the summit meeting of the Goa'uld System Lords where she recognized Dr. Jackson and almost blew his cover. *Source: Back of card
