*In 1973, an archaeological team from the University of New Mexico conducted a research investigation, with the hope of finding concrete evidence that the Aztecs once inhabited North America, as far east as what is now the state of Louisiana.
Encouraged by the discovery of Aztec relics in Louisiana bayou country, the team conducted a dig, reportedly uncovering the remnants of an abandoned underground temple, dedicated to the god Tezcatlipoca.
Among other ancient artifacts, the team supposedly found a mask, and a knife made of human bone. *Source: Back of Card
