About Brute & Babe

*This short lived Bart Sears line of comics lasted only these three issues. There was a unique rollout of the line, which leads to some database confusion.

While each issue has the story title in the indicia, CCL has chosen to list these books together by their cover title and number for simplicities sake.

The first item released was the Wizard Aschan version of the "Infinity" issue, or #3. This is a complete presentation of the full-size version, which is why CCL lists it as a variant of #3 and not under it's own issue listing. However, nowhere on the full-size version of the book does it say #3, but where the other issues had a sequential number, it has a question mark, playing off the Infinity idea. There is no question mark or numbering in or on the aschcan, thus the 'nn' listing. Additionally, there are no credits in the ashcan, so they are derived from the full-size issue.

The second release was what is listed as #1, "It Begins" due to a #1 being on the cover. This was released as, what Ominous Press called, a Tablet Monument Set - a plastic case holding the individual, unbound pages on thick stock paper.

The third release was what is listed as #2, "Mael's Rage." Finally, in late 1994, the actual full-size edition of "Infinity" was released with the story title "The Infinity of Warriors."

There are also several variants from Legends & Lore that were available during the short run. While there were many in-house ads for more comics for this title and others, it wasn't until 22 years later, and under the title "Legendary," that more stories including this title's finale, "Death of Pheros," were published. *Source: SwiftMann
