I was hoping that this was fixed during the updates and for a while there it looked like it was. But I just got one this week - Order #263224 did not go through and I had to generate a PP Request instead. I believe that that this is the first time for me since the update started which is nice because it used to happen more frequently. Is anything being done to remedy this?

PayPal is much improved with the update. All of the testing we did showed that if an order was pending, it was because the user either abandoned it before hitting the final button to pay, or there was some sort of internet interruption.

That being said, We will be updating to the latest API fairly soon (next couple of months), and hopefully, that will make things even better.

Awesome! I agree it's been much better. This was the first time it happened to me in a couple of months.

Still happens to our orders All the time

we are working on an upgrade to the latest version of their API. They are working on it now. Not sure when it is going to be done, but shouldn't be too much longer.
