We have completed version 2.0 of the website. Please upload your collection as early as possible. If you were a beta tester, please uninstall the old Comic Collector Live Updater and download the new one by going to your Dashboard, and clicking on the red notification. Once your comics are uploaded to the cloud, you will no longer need your software to track your collection.

Stores will no longer need to use the software to list books. You will be able to list, delist, edit, place on shelves, and manage your store from your phone, tablet, or computer. You can also add a banner for your store when editing your store information.

You can now update your avatar by going to member profile, and updating your avatar.

Feel free to visit the ComicCollectorLive YouTube channel to learn how to use this update. The Link to the YouTube Channel is here:

CCL YouTube

Thanks for hanging with us. Hope you all enjoy the update.

If fonts look funny or text looks funny, be sure to hard refresh your browser. On Chrome that is holding the Ctrl key down while hitting F5. But that should fix any strange issues with your browser not displaying correctly.

How long should my computer popup show : Updating Database, please wait. This may take awhile?

It's been 26 hours now.
At one point I did get an error pop up, so did this get stuck?

I am having a similar issue. I use Chrome and did the rest of my browser. I am still getting saddled with a "fatal error" message after 15-20 minutes into the istallation process.

as soon as it says finished, it is done. (the cursor does keep spinning, but it is done.)

I am sure it is done. as long as it says complete, it is finished and at 100% it is done. (the cursor keeps spinning but it is done.)

If you were a beta tester, or you uploaded to the dev to help us test, you must remove the old ComicCollectorLive Update utility and download the new one.

Also, be sure you are pointed to the right place for your data. Some people move their data, so be sure to point to the proper location.

On Windows you can take screenshots with ALT-PRSCRN keys.

The database Uploading should take place in the new apps and not in web browsers. There are two steps in the uploader, did they both complete?

Also be sure your chrome is up to date when viewing the site.

You can check the version with

chrome://settings/help

Current version is 117.0.5938.150 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I am certain the installation has not occurred for me. When I click "dashboard", I still receive the header message . . . "Oh Snap! UPLOAD YOUR COLLECTION. Software will phase out soon, so upload your collection now! Click To learn more!"

It has not happened. Be sure to check in your software and see where your ComicData.sdf resides. You can go into the settings of the software, and look at the path to your data. Make sure when you run the upload utility, that you are pointing to your data.

Also, make sure you are running updater 2.0. If you need help you can drop a note to helpdesk@comiccollecorlive.com maybe give your phone number and I will be glad to call and talk you through it.

OK, I followed all directions, and finally gave in and exited out of the updater just a half hour after my first post above.. Never got a completed message.

However, when I go to the site on Firefox and Chrome, it shows my store and appears to have updated my store.

The SNAP section does appear after logging in.

Lastly, today, the SEARCH field seems to be failing. I searched a couple comics in the Library, and now unable to do another search. No fillin box appearing, just the words Search in Black text, and slightly under it the same word, but as a link.

So, bugs are present for sure.

OK, so what will the final result look like online at the website?

At this moment, my store has all of my listings.

What did not upload, even though I closed the process after 26 hours of the spinning cursor, and absolutely no progress on the bar.

Joe,

Is there a way to Bulk Edit comics listed for sale?

For instance, if I have Daredevil #1-10 listed at VF+ for $2.00 each and want to change them all to $3.00 can I do it all at once or will it have to be done 1 issue at a time?

Thanks!

Howie

Hey Howie. For now you have to do one at a time. We are working on Bulk Edit and Listing but all of these bulk tasks have to be done in the background on an application server, so we don't burden down the web servers. Store / Customer relations is what we are working on now, and have bulk edit, listing, and delisting as an action items.

the upload really does not affect your store. It only uploads your collection. We don't really touch your store, as it should already contain the items you have listed. So, the only thing we upload are those items in your collection. If that did not go through properly, you will send an email to helpdesk@comiccollectorlive.com we can send you a link to our dropbox, and we will get those uploaded for you. Just drop us an email and we will be glad to help.

Interesting. So if I only use CCL for my store and don't use it to catalog my personal collection, does that mean there is no real reason to do the migration (provided there is nothing in my Collected View that is pending to sell)? Or should I do it anyway just because?

I’m having trouble with the Change Request function. It isn’t working properly. When you try to approve anybody else’s CR, the Approval lock doesn’t register the first time you click it. So of course you end up clicking it a second time and subsequently end up being locked out of the CR. So to find it again you end up going back to the change request link on the menu to the left of the page. Sometimes you’re taken back to before the lock has been applied, so end up re-applying it, being locked out again. Can this be fixed soon?

Added this as a high priority bug. What browser are you using?

I was using Safari on my IPad. On my laptop, which I do the majority of my CCL work, I mostly just use Firefox.
