Does anyone know if the new update will be fixing the expired security certificate this site receives? I know it prevents a number of people from shopping here.

I don't know. I certainly hope so. Also want that dang "PayPal Pending" problem fixed. Hopefully this will do it.

It would be nice to hear something from Management. On the CCL Forums that is. If they remember that there are Forums on CCL. Don't Tell Anyone Silly

I just saw on the news that Hell has frozen over. Am I reading this right??? There are ACTUALLY updates coming? This is July 9th, not April 1st, right? Of course, from what I can surmise, the software is no longer supported? Is the correct? Are we being forced to using the cloud BS?

What's your objection to it being cloud based? Do you prefer being tied down to certain devices? Honestly curious.

My objection to it being cloud based only is for the same reason why I don't buy digital books - if I don't have the file on my computer and can't back it up, then I don't own it. Just look at what has happened to Comixology and Marvel Unlimted. The device I use is my computer. I'm not going to manage my collection on a phone or tablet. The older I get and the worse my eyesight gets, I need a big screen. Also, my access to my data would be dependent on the fickleness of the internet and, not to mention, the uncertainty of CCL staying in business. ComicbookDB comes to mind. One of the reasons I moved from CBDB to CCL, as well as the competitor that shall not be named, is because they weren't cloud based. I do not subscribe to the philosophy of "You shall own nothing and like it"

Good points. These are some of the reasons I prefer physical media and hate the idea of streaming. I guess I never thought of CCL that way because I only use it as a selling platform and not to organize my personal collection.

OK. Why are my quicklinks at the top of the page (for orders pending and messages unread) not on every page?

Looks like it shows up when I hit the three dash box at the top of the page, with the rest of the drop down options.

It took me five minutes to work out how to access the full forum. I’m not completely sure I like the changes in formatting issue details, credits and characters. It was easier on the eye before.

I remember how much I hated the layout of the last update (ie, the current [yesterday's] format). Now I don't even remember clearly how that looked. We're all partial to what we're used to.

Yikes! I went thru the data conversion and upload, waited patiently for it to get there, and now, when I fire up the application, it tells me that I am not authorized to use the application.

I still hate the new layout however many years later. It's got big dumb blocks presenting barely useful info and tiny links that are important. Same with this version.

Looking at the credits and characters that Icarus mentioned and, yeah, yikes, that's not great. Especially the characters. Let's just make that a list format please.

There appears to be a glitch with the Change Request action. The layout is essentially the same, but after you lock for approval, nothing happens. You click it again and receive an error message that an approval lock is already in place. So I had to go back through the Change Manager on the sidebar to find the request and then finish the approval. This is the same on both self approval and member requests too.

EDIT: By the time I had written this post, the site had gone down for maintenance again. Waiting for it to come back.

However, the idea of the cloud shouldn't be an issue for us. The cloud only refers to how the information is stored and accessed.

The cloud is a fear for me. I like having access to the information stored on my computer. I'm concerned that this could stuff not only makes the information inaccesible during times of no internet access, that it might also make the information inaccessible if the fee's aren't paid/subscriptions expire.

Seeing how much of a disater the 2016 version was, this should at least be interesting to see if anything was actually improved and how many major items were not as well as how many glitches/bugs and things people just simply don't like become prevalent. Enquiring minds are waiting to be entertained.

WE WANT HEINICKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those picking, Heiney is now with the Chargers andhas 2 completions for 24 yards last time I checked this year. :)
Less than a year ago you didn't want us to be able to have the 2nd pick in the draft.
Seems like you're making progress, now to apply some of that to your Prime Time picks to see if you can catch up to me. Nailbiting

I see the website is back up. The old website. Good! I saw the video on how to list books for sale. One at a time? Seriously? This update should be making things easier for sellers, not harder. The only positive I saw was the ability to shelve each item as you list it.

Unless that tutorial video was not giving the whole picture, I'd say the new listing format is not good. Big red flags for me.

My main objection right now, other than the update NOT WORKING (I'm shocked, I tell ya...) is that my work computer is crap, the owners won't/can't get new ones, and it takes forever to load CCL and the Internet as it is, and now I'm going to be stuck hoping that my POS computer actually ACCESSES the Cloud (Pending hell freezing over and this update working).

For anyone that hasn't seen it, here is a link to the YouTube video showing how to list a comic for sale: How to Sell Comics on Comic Collector Live

I certainly hope that we will be able to list more than one issue at a time. Much faster the other way.

Speed isn't the only thing in life. I've managed to list over 40,000 unique individual listings with front and back cover scans. I would hope that this going to the clouds stuff at least has some consideration applied for easy cross listings to and from other sites. I can currently build on my site and using sync software share the one listing to E-Bay, Bonanza and numerous other sites as desired. Some of them can have the entire catalog's shared with a couple clicks. Sell, change price or info on one listing and they all get updated automatically. Seems to be the way of the future. Do the work once and share it to multiple places, hopefully CCL included at some point.

Or just the option to NOT have PayPal turned on for payment so other less glitchy alternatives that don't keep the seller fee's for returns and cancellations can be used and maybe tie in to options that have working capital options now that PayPal doesn't in VA.

Aaannndd, we're back to the old site. For the five minutes it was up for me, I got my profile image to update, so that's one plus.
