That's fine. I wasn't very enthusiastic about it and I can only image how tough it would be for the players, on both sides, to have played. Any on field celebrating over a play would have felt weird. If it was only one guy it would be hard enough but three...

Very nice to see other schools reactions. Reminds us that we might be rivals but in the end it's just a bunch of kids playing a game and we're all still human.

Wouldn't have been a very good game anyway even before the tragedy. Both teams have had a crappy year.

WEEK 13

TOP 25 - #2 Ohio State (BIG10) vs #3 Michigan (BIG10) Looks like I have to go Big Blue eveb though I am no fan of Harbag.

INTER CONFERENCE - Florida (SEC) vs #16 Florida State (ACC) I predict that FSU wins 45-38 Tongue D'oh (not sure which I would have picked, probably flipped a coin)

INTRA CONFERENCE - #19 Tulane vs #21 Cincinnati (AAC) Forgot to pick this one as well. Broken Heart

RANDOM - #5 USC (PAC12) vs #13 Notre Dame (Independent) Irish it is.

BEAT THE SPREAD - University of Texas San Antonio Roadrunners (Conference USA) vs. University of Texas El Paso Miners (Conference USA) (+18.5) YES or NO? Have to say YES

FCS GAME OF THE WEEK - Gardner Webb Bulldogs (Big South Conference) vs Eastern Kentucky Colonels (Atlantic Sun Conference)
Guess I'll go with EKU = the Fighting Colonels!

The playoff committee has set the precedence of looking at overall record first.

These teams are guaranteed to be in the "1 loss or less club", regardless of any outcomes next week:
-Georgia - 13-0 or 12-1
-Ohio State - 11-1, season done
-Michigan - 13-0 or 12-1
-TCU - 13-0 or 12-1

USC is currently 11-1, so they will end either at 12-1 or 11-2.

I think that Georgia, Michigan, and TCU are in regardless of the conference championship games. I think that USC is in if they win the Pac-12 title, but if they lose, OSU will slide in.

I don't see a path for any 2-loss team to slide in, since there will be either 4 or 5 "1 loss or less" teams. The only 2-loss team that had a legitimate shot would have been LSU if they had won this week, and then beaten Georgia in the SEC title game. But Texas A&M took care of that.

The current 2-loss teams (who won't be playing next weekend:
-Alabama 10-2
-Tennessee 10-2 - should be ahead of Alabama.
-Penn State 10-2 -- they're 3rd place in their division and lost to OSU and Michigan. No chance in heck.

The only other team on the board is Clemson, currently 10-2, but they would be 11-2 ACC champs if they win next week. The only thing keeping them afloat would be that conference championship. If they lose to UNC and pick up a third loss, they're definitely out.

Well, we're all starting this week at 0-1 thanks to Utah.

Pretty sure the top four is going to now be Georgia, Michigan, TCU, and Ohio State, regardless of today's outcomes. They are the only four members of the "1 loss or less" club, and they are all guaranteed to remain in there.

If Alabama manages to get in the top 4, then the entire committee needs to be replaced, because that would be complete pandering. The biggest issue there is that Tennessee should be ranked higher than Alabama.

Interesting note for today's games -- Kansas State is already guaranteed a spot in the Sugar Bowl, so it doesn't matter if they win or lose the Big 12 title. If they win, they go as Big 12 champs. If they lose, then they go to the Sugar Bowl as the Big 12 replacement team since TCU will be in the CFP.

Making me hate my Vols choking against South Carolina even more.

No way Bama should be ahead of Tennessee. Even without my orange tinted glasses, Vols won head to head. Plus Vols stomped the other team that beat Bama (LSU) in their own place (who cares that it wasn't a night game).

Vols have higher quality wins and supposedly margin of victory doesn't matter so who cares that Bama only lost by a combined few points?

Bama better not get in.....
