Here are the available arenas for Superhero Showdown - May 2020

Once one is used it cannot be revisited.

Mordor
This is a black, volcanic plain that is riddled with caves, ravines and fortresses. A layer of volcanic ash coats almost everything and soot clouds the air. This is a quite inhospitable area. For the purposes of this battle it is after the fall of Sauron. There are some orcs, goblins, trolls and a few other random beasties but not to the extent that there were previously.

Cair Paravel
This is a typical Middle Ages type castle with walls, ramparts, courtyards and many interior rooms from bedchambers to large halls to dungeons. The castle sits atop a mountainous peninsula jutting into the sea. We will be using the Castle as it stood after being abandoned during the Telmarine Age and before it fell into ruins.

Wasteland (Mad Max)
The Wastelands in Australia are a vast expanse of deserts and dry scrublands. Extremely hot and dry during the day with plunging temperatures at night makes this a difficult to survive location. It's possible to encounter roving bands of marauders or other nomadic peoples.

Cybertron
This world is almost entirely metallic with gleaming plains, spiraling mountains and seemingly bottomless chasms all covered with technological wonders. The time is after the Autobots and Decepticons have left for Earth leaving only scattered remnants behind.

Hogwarts
The School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a sprawling castle with numerous open spaces, a handful of tall towers, a dozen or more outbuildings plus rooms and stairways that shift around from time to time. Because of the preponderance of magic, technology doesn't work as well here if at all. During this battle, the school is on Spring Break so no students and few administrators. The house ghosts (and maybe a monster or two) are still hanging around.

The Pit (G.I Joe)
The Pit is an underground military base with several large areas used as hangars, vehicle storage and training as well as numerous hallways and interior rooms. We will be using the Pit after it was evacuated by the Joes and before it has been rebuilt. There will be numerous items available for the fighters to use including weapons, vehicles, armaments and medical supplies among other things.

Jaguar Shrine - Jumanji
The Jaguar Shrine is actually a mountain that looks like a big cat and it sits in a jungle valley surrounded by lush vegetation and plenty of streams and tall trees. Oh, and if you get too close to the shrine jaguars will menace you.

Death Star Wreckage
After the Second Death Star was destroyed in the Battle of Endor remnants of it fell into the sea of the moon Kef Bir. These remnants include the Emperor's Throne Room, part of the superlaser, TIE Fighter hangars, Stromtrooper quarters and a labyrinth of corridors. Parts of the ruined space station jut out into the raging ocean that it sits in and parts of it are flooded as well. The interior ranges from relatively fine to treacherously dangerous.

I decided to go with non-Marvel and DC locations from other science fiction and fantasy movies. This way none of the fighters has any direct knowledge of the Arena and also it throws a little more diversity into the mix!
