Any thoughts on Howard the Duck #33 error cover? To recap, a number of copies of this were released with the words "All New" & "Page Epic" missing from the phrase "All New 30 Page Epic", with the result being a giant "30" on the cover for no apparent reason. These usually sell for a premium on ebay. I think it's been discussed before, but thought I would revisit it to see if it's worthy of a variant listing.

Though I have no say in the matter, I think it should be listed as a variant.

Using the fact that the Ninja Turtles (1984) #3 error where "Laird Photo" is slightly whiter than intended is listed as a variant, then missing words should be listed as one as well.

Just an opinion, it doesn't benefit/hurt me either way as I don't collect Howard the Duck but be nice for it to be listed so it's documented as existing for anyone attempting to put together an "all variants" set.

I'll add Marvel Spotlight (1979) #1 to the list of misprint anomalies currently in the database.

I think the missing cover elements are enough to warrant a variant, especially if it results in a premium in the secondary market.

We've allowed variants for a lot less (the "teardrop" cover of Green Lantern 2011 #1 springs to mind).

Agreed. As long as there is some verifiable documentation/proof to support the entry that is....

Ok, I've just submitted a new variant since there hasn't been any naysayers speaking up.
