Daredevil (1964) 97-A

"He Who Saves"

While intervening on a young man's behalf, after he is injured, Daredevil has the boy rushed to the hospital. There, the boy is mysteriously carted away from the beds at the Emergency Room. Later the fruits of the experiment performed on the boy take form as the Dark Messiah rampages through the streets, gaining new recruits from the local jails and prisons.
