Iron Man learns of Half-Face's newest creation, the supposedly dead Titanium Man. Half-Face has augmented his power, and he is more than a match for Iron Man, who is quickly put out of action. Shellhead must helplessly watch as Half-Face sends Titanium Man on a propaganda mission to embarrass the US Military in North Viet Nam.

Captain America goes on a mission to the heart of an A.I.M. installation to rescue S.H.I.E.L.D. double-agent Sharon Carter. She had gone undercover to learn more about the mysterious new czar of A.I.M., named MODOK. Cap and Sharon are in love, and it gets in the way of the mission, leading to their capture.
