The Fantastic Four attend the night club show of the Miracle Man. During the show, he calls them out, claiming his power is greater than theirs, and embarrasses the Thing. Thus emboldened, he plans to subjugate the world.

"Chapter II: The Monster Lives!" 5 pages.
The Miracle Man animates a monster movie promotional statue, and terrorizes the city.
"Chapter III: The Flame That Died!" 3 pages.
The team tracks down and destroys the monster, but are beaten by the Miracle Man. The Invisible Woman tracks his departure.

Reed, Ben and Johnny bicker amongst themselves until Sue sends off the signal flare.
