The WetWorks team attempts to stop the Vampire Nation from releasing the biological weapon at the Johnny Savoy concert. But when their intervention is noticed, it turns into a bloodbath. Savoy, it seems, is a cousin of the Blood Queen and therefore vampire royalty.
While the different units of the team fight independently, Mother One seems more interested in taking data than aiding her comrades. Grail, after getting his fighting mask ripped off, sees his arms and weapons charged with a strange blue glow. Mother One then watches emotionlessly as Flattop and Crossbones are overwhelmed by the frenzied vampires. Pilgrim is also taken by surprise, only to be saved by a mysterious werewolf name Wilder.
Draxis, the leader of the attack on Savoy, attempts to control Dane's symbiote telepathically. While this seems to be working, Dane uses his own telepathic powers to counter the attack and is able to kill Draxis in the process.
Behind the scenes, Regine Valesquez, a reporter who witnessed the scene, finds that the vampires do not appear on film. Even so, her footage is confiscated by armed men. Drakken is furious with the failure of his plans, while the Blood Queen is pleased with Dane's performance.
This issue features the death of Flattop and Crossbones from the original WetWorks team.
