Item Biography

"... And Let the Battle Begin!"

Continued from Marvel Premiere #29.
Bucky has gathered a new team around him to do the work of the indisposed Invaders. They go about this with frenetic zeal, dispatching Nazi spy-rings operating in the U.S.

The Red Skull is on the radio waves again, and he ain't playing Big Band tunes. With the cocky swagger of arrogance, he announces that the Invaders, still under his mental control will strike at three major American monuments.

Namor, intent on destroying the Statue of Liberty, is met with resistance by Jack Frost and Blue Diamond.

At the Liberty Bell tower in Philadelphia, Captain America's entangled in a right royal rumpus with the Patriot and Miss America.

The twin Torches are closing in on the Lincoln Memorial, and this time Red Raven and the Whizzer combine their powers to snuff out their flames.

Sensing that the Invaders' stamina and reflexes are adversely affected by their mind conditioning, the Skull calls them off from their individual confrontations. However, with one last act of malice, the Nazi sadist diverts the Human Torch to strike head-on at the Liberty Legion's ad hoc base of operations.

Continues in Marvel Premiere #30.
