In the lull following the battle with Thanos, Rick Jones recommences his music career. His tour takes he and Mar-Vell in the path of Nitro and the Lunatic Legion. In the battle, Mar-Vell gets exposed to nerve gas, which ultimately leads to his death by cancer.
