Item Biography

"Crisis!" featuring Nick Fury.
Baron Strucker, revealed to the world as the Supreme HYDRA, has the world at his mercy. From his base on HYDRA Island, Strucker informs Fury about the bomb aboard the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier that will rain biological terror on the world below, should the world not cede control to them. Fury escapes, and fights insurmountable odds on HYDRA Island to finally face Strucker for hand-to-hand combat. Strucker wears an armored glove, dubbed the Satan Claw, and it looks like the end for Nick Fury.
- Story written and illustrated by Jim Steranko, and lettered by Sam Rosen; 12 pages.

"The End of the Ancient One!" featuring Dr. Strange.
The power of Zom proves too much for both Dr. Strange and the Ancient One. The Ancient One lets himself be killed so that his power can pass to Dr. Strange, and he gives Strange a clue about Zom's Achilles heel, his top-knot of hair. Strange removes it in the fight, and it signals the arrival of a force that even Zom fears, the Living Tribunal. The Tribunal banishes Zom, then gives judgment that the Earth must be destroyed for Strange's actions.
- First appearance of The Living Tribunal.
- Story written by Stan Lee, penciled by Marie Severin, inked by Herb Trimpe, and lettered by Artie Simek; 10 pages.
