"Legacy of the Lost" As the battle rages with the Dire Wraiths in Forge's apartment, magical help arrives in the form of Amanda Sefton and Illyana Rasputin. The battle is finally won when the final Dire Wraith is killed, severing the connection of the other magical world. Before the story switches to the mansion, it is revealed that Naze is a Dire Wraith. At the mansion the professor has a discussion with his "children" about past and future events. During the discussion Rachel Summers over hears that Jean Grey is dead and all hell breaks loose.
