"And Now... Starfox!"
Hawkeye, his leg broken at the end of the last issue, get is put in a cast. The Avengers agree to take Eros as an Avenger-in-training, but tell him he much change his name. For one thing, the government might not approve of an Avenger named Eros. The Wasp suggests the name of Starfox. The Avengers get a message from the navy that they have located the sub responsible for the kidnapping of the president. Thor, Captain Marvel, and Starfox go to meet them. The Navy is attacked by kelp. Meanwhile, Captain America and the Wasp visit Tony Stark. They find that he has returned to drinking. He has given his Iron Man armor to someone else, and it was that person who resigned form the Avengers. Cap & Jan find that talking to Tony is getting them nowhere, so they leave. The other Avengers are able to capture the Pant-Man's sub. As they enter it, it self destructs, and takes the Plant-Man into the stratosphere aboard a pod. The Plant-Man sees a recorded message from the person who supplied him with his weaponry saying that the weaponry was payment for freeing him from prison, but he is now on his own. The Avenger rescue him from the orbit bound pod. Meanwhile, the Wasp and She-hulk are apartment hunting for She-Hulk, and come up against an invisible force barrier which seems to be blocking off part of the city.
