Wish I could make this a poll. What is your favorite, most "consistently providing" publisher outside the big two? We know who would win that one... but what about the independents? My vote goes to First comics, now defunct. "We make a pretty good team, even if we don't work together." - My son We put the "RP" into RPG!www.neverdarklands.net

Thats a good question. I think for a larger independent publisher my vote would go to Dark Horse and Bongo. Then for a smaller independent I would have to go with Red 5 because they have some real good titles coming out.

I've seen some good stuff come from IDW, but I rarely venture outside of Marvel. I tend to buy stuff from Dynamite though, cause they have the Army of Darkness property.

Since the only other publishers I've collected outside of Marvel is Image and Dark Horse, I have to go with them. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of experience outside Marvel.
Check out my reviews at the UNCANNY X-PILES!

I have every book Timb Bomb Comics has published to date. My favourite publisher has to be Marvel probably, but with DC gnarling on their heels becuse DC are swiftly getting one over on Marvel in my mind as of late. 1.Marvel/DC 2.Dark Horse 3.Image Dark Horse are awesome, they never fail to put out something brilliant. Image because of Robert Kirkman and Madman.

D5 and anyone else interested. If you guys want to post a list in this thread I will turn it into a poll for you. I fall into the same boat a Jeff. I have Marvel, Dark Horse and embarassingly enough, DC comics in my collection. If I went ahead and listed the smaller companies I know, I am sure people would be disappointed in me for leaving out their favourites. List them and I will create a poll.

First Comics!?! So you are thinking about old independent companies as well. I really like Pacific, with their Dave Steven's stuff like Rocketeer, and I really liked Eclipes with their Miracleman stuff!!!! I also really love America's Best Comics for obvious reasons! First and Dark Horse are great as well.
Come check out the new story line in The BRILLIANT BELLA as BELLA meets the legendary GOLEM and finds herself with "FEET OF CLAY". Written by Thomas Morrison and drawn by Tiina Birgitta Räisänen.

Hmmm... right now, I get the following- Dark Horse (can they truly be called "independent" anymore?)-Star Wars, Solomon Kane, Conan, Hellboy IDW- Angel, Star Trek, Dr.Who properties Dynamite- Lone Ranger, Man with no name, Zorro (Avengers/Invaders as well) DDP- Drafted I do have some First!, Valiant (Archer&Armstrong), Pacific, Aardvark-Vannaheim (Cerebus), and probably a few others as well. I don't know about including Epic and Vertigo, as they're just "other imprints" of Marvel and DC.
