Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.

1 is too hard for me to pin down. I just love comics so much, maybe too much. But here are some of my top picks:

-Green Lantern: Emerald Twilight & Zero Hour
-Green Lantern: Rebirth
-X-Men: Age of Apocalypse (1995)
-DC Elseworlds: Kingdom Come
-Grant Morrison's JLA Run
-Geoff Johns JSA run (and still going)
-Ron Marz's Green Lantern run
-DC Comics: Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985)

I loved Batman: Year One, Spider-Man: The Alien Costume Saga, and the intro of the new X-Men in Uncanny after Giant Size X-Men. But my all-time favorite has to be Green Lantern: Rebirth. When Guy gets his ring, and it slides onto his middle finger is just classic!

Punisher: Year One. You can tell the writers really loved this project by the amount of care they took into crafting the story and sticking to the timeline/backstory. Issue 4 when Frank writes his first War Journal and goes on his first mission are just a dream come true. Those scenes were copied almost verbatum into the end of the 2004 movie.

I think ASM The Drug Issues is one of the best 3-part arcs, also the Bart Hamilton/Green Goblin storyline was another great 5-part story arc. Hobgoblin / Alien costume storylines are winners...

The Kree/Skrull story arc is prob the best long storyline.

Daredevil's Hell's Kitchen story arc by Miller/Mazzuchelli is a favorite.

Adams Batman/Man-Bat arc is a childhood favorite.

FF faux-"The Prisoner" storyline was very imaginative, but the obvious choice is The Coming of Galactus. ANother obvious choice would be The Dark Phoenix saga.

OK, clearly this is getting out of hand... I think I'm going to give it to Kraven's Last Hunt.

Shop at My Store
I had just purchased and read Captain America Vol. 4 17-20 Cap Lives today
this has to be one of the best stories ever, because of this arc I'm probably gonna try to buy more from the series to see if they are just as good. Thats when you can tell you have found some good backissues, makes you go and buy more Drooling
