Comics MD is back!

To celebrate our return we are holding a 15% off sale on ALL Inventory! We've just recently finished checking it in and verifying what we have making adjustments to condition and pricing (including THOUSANDS of reductions) and are ready to rock!

We won't tip-toe around it, our last sale before going on hiatus showed us just how many holes we had in our listed inventory here so we wanted to be thorough in clearing out all of the books we no longer actually had be it from accidental relistings, mistake listings, and some damages/losses during the move.

Speaking of damages during the move; In addition to the 15% off sale we're hosting a BUY ONE GET ONE FREE sale on all of our damaged books that mention "bowing" in the market notes. Most of these are priced from 10 to 75 cents and while maybe not what one would showcase in their collection could still serve as a reader's copy or even be used for an art project you or someone you know could make! As BOGO sales tend to go, the cheaper value books are the ones that will be made free. (Many of these are Street Fighter, Suicide Squad, Trinity, among others)

For those unfamiliar with how our sales have worked, we issue the savings via refunds through Paypal once the order has been pulled, packed, and shipped! The 15% off does NOT include shipping costs, however so long as your order reaches the minimum for our Free Shipping option (Now done via Media Mail) BEFORE the discount is applied it will be honored! [I.E. if you order was $40 exactly and the discount put you below that, you still get the free shipping]

Our shipping options have changed too. It's no secret to anyone doing business that involves shipping at any point that USPS prices have been going up with each and every year and our shipping prices were last made in 2015! So we hope you'll forgive us for the overhaul, but we're hopeful our new options will work better for everyone going forward.

For those interested in what happened for our absence and what our thoughts were behind the changes we've made for the relaunch, read up in the post below!

Let's start with what's probably the biggest question on our customers minds...where did we go?

We had only planned to be out of commission for at most, maybe 2 months. But as I'm sure we're all sick of hearing by now, 2020 was an unpredictable and chaotic year. The long story short is that our Plans A, B, C, and even D for where to move our inventory and resume business had all fallen through due to the pandemic and we were left with not having anywhere to hold our inventory and work with it. Thankfully, we now have the space to do so and are happy to be back!

On to shipping, we've opted to focus on two shipping methods: Flat Rate Priority and Media Mail. We used to offer Parcel and Priority shipping separately but as the rates have gone up so much since we last did our pricing, most Parcel options these days cost more than our Priority ones used to, especially if it's coast to coast! Fortunately for all of us comics are a great fit for many of USPS' flat rate packaging with prices far more affordable than what our custom packaging would get using the same services.

Concerning Media Mail; Comic Books do not fall under their guidelines of "Media" but it's one of those options you'll see many businesses and independent sellers use for shipping them! We had shied away from Media Mail here on CCL as there was a time where we had packages being cut open and sent back to us or making the buyer pay extra for shipping upon receipt, all the while damaging and sometimes losing books in their investigation of these packages. However, it's now been over 5 years since this has last happened to a package we've sent via Media Mail and know it's an option many buyers still prefer to use for how amazingly cheap it is. While we don't expect any more trouble going forward we'd be remiss not to be up front about the potential risks in choosing this option.

As for the BOGO sale on damages; while they may not be the most desirable books to any customer, we're just not big fans of throwing away comics that still have all of its pages even if they are damaged. So we thought this was a good way of getting them into the hands of people who could use them for whatever they think is best!

Onto some business, we've just shipped out half of the first wave of orders we've received earlier today and you guys should start seeing the other half ship later today! By tomorrow they should all be in transit! (Give or take for USPS processing time!)

There's also a fair stack of Harley Quinn (2016) along with "& Her Gang of Harleys", "And Poison Ivy", and a "Breaking Glass Special" sampler, that were just listed all eligible for the Damaged BOGO deal!

We're all caught up on our orders again and we've just finished listing a full long box of comics to boot!

We've got some noteworthy issues too like Batman #412 (The First Appearance of the Mime), Crisis on Infinite Earth #1 first printings, Dark Horse Comics #7 (First Appearance of Old Republic Jedi Nomi Sunrider!), some of the very rare Tome Press Dante's Inferno #1, the final published issue of Lone Wolf and Cub, and a Star Wars: Dark Empire #1 (The first Star Wars comic published by Dark Horse!)

Of course, there's still more than 300 comics from there and they're all eligible for our sale, so check it out!

We've got another long box listed! This one fills in some gaps we had in our inventory like early issue for Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, Ghost RIder, and Warlock and the Infinity Watch!! We also have a few more gems continuing from yesterday including the rare Clive Barker's Night Breed, hard to find issues (#76/#77) towards the end of the run of 'Nam, and the later half of Venom: Lethal Protector, Venom's original solo series with a new lease on life in the collector's space!

And lastly we've got some issues of Marc Spector: Moon Knight to start building your collection in time for the hype of the upcoming Disney + series!

We've got a big replenish of Action Comics, Amazing Spider-Man, Batman (Including Legends of the Dark Knight), Fury of Firestorm, an assortment Dark Horse Star Wars comics and Dark Horse published manga, alongside some notable books like the final issues of the original Alpha Flight and the first appearance of Wild Thing in J2 #5 from Marvel's MC2 line!

We have restocks of 80s Flash, Green Arrow, and Green Lantern in addition to some listings for issues of The Thing (The movies!) and Power of the Atom. To top this all off we also have the final issues of Green Arrow/Black Canary and Robotech: The Macross Saga (These especially are hard to come by!)

And as with everything else we've listed these past 2 weeks while the sale has been active, all of these new listings are eligible for the 15% off sale! There's only one more day left after this!

Just finished listing a box of nearly 200 books!

Up with it we have a consistent run of the first 12 issues of the 2nd Atari Force series, A first printing copy of The Dark Knight Returns #3, A big restock of various Fantastic Fours between #155-541 alongside some of Unlimited and different Specials, a couple of hard-to-find Malibu Mortal Kombat issues, the complete run of Chip Zdarsky's Marvel 2-in-one (including the annual), the complete Secret Wars 2099 miniseries at a great price, a few Sensational She-Hulks (Including beloved Bikini Cover!), a couple 2nd Print TMNT: The Last Ronin #1s, all of X-Men Prelude to Schism, Schism, and Regenesis (Including Generation Hope tie-in issues) and the big one - a near complete run of the 2018 Venom series including the #1! All First prints!

If you already have an order in from the sale period that hasn't shipped yet, you can put in another order to grab some of the newly listed issues to be combined and save on shipping! Of course, the new orders will NOT have the sale discount applied to them even if it's combined shipping with an order that was placed during the sale.

Just finished listing another box! Going up with it we have Early 2000s issues of Aquaman, rare NIghtmare on Elm Street issues from Innovation comics you'll have a hard time finding anywhere else but here on CCL, based on the latest TMNT animated series Rise of the TMNT, Star Wars Adventures: Forces of Destiny one-shots, the entire IDW X-Files Conspiracy event! (Made up of a 2-issue mini-series and several accompanying tie-ins!), and as always MORE!

Just got done listing a shortbox of Early 2020 books from Marvel, DC, Image, IDW, and others! If you missed out on any key issues in your collection as the Covid Pandemic was beginning, be sure to give our inventory a look for issues that ended up with low-print runs or had staggered releases because of it!

Edit: We've just listed some more vintage books including Amazing Spider-Man Annual #22 (The first appearance of Speedball), a replenish of Marvel Mangaverse specials, a huge run of Flash and Frank Miller's legendary run of Daredevil, and more!

We've just finished listing another 2 shortboxes for over 300 books just added to our inventory!

Between the two there were nearly the entire run of Chip Zdarsky's Howard the Duck (2015 & 2016), a big replenishment of missing Fantastic Four issues along with better condition copies of others we already had, the entire Spider-Man Web Warriors series, more rare Clive Barker comics, the beginning of Maximum Carnage in the Spider-Man Unlimited, Batman Death Metal Tie-Ins, and the always mentioned MORE!

We'd also like to give a heads up to everyone ordering with us as we get more calls for snow and freezing rain there may be possible delays with orders in the coming days, we will try to stay in contact with everyone so you know when you can expect orders to ship out!

Last night we finished listing entire runs (and associated one-shots) for Stephen King's Dark Tower series, Death of Wolverine tie-ins, alongside some small updates for a bunch of other titles as well!

And as the snow and icestorms continue to hit please keep in mind it may take an extra day for orders to be pulled and shipped out, and they are likely (even with Priority) to see delays in transit with USPS! If there are ever any problems when the orders arrive (Or worst case scenario hasn't arrived after over 2 weeks since being shipped out) please don't hesitate to contact us so we can work with you to fix it!

Just finished a little late night listing with a consistent run of Fantastic Four from #216 to #251 (with John Byrne beginning his run with issue #232, and all of these are the Newsstand releases with the exceptions of #225, #228, and #230 which are direct edition releases.

From there we have both issues of Hellraiser/Nightbreed Jihad, a few more copies of Spider-Man Unlimited #1 kicking off the Maximum Carnage event, and a few niche restocks such as Green Hornet and Grendel Tales.
