Original owner selling what appears to be his original comics from the late 40's and early 50's. I checked a few and all the dates so far fell between 1947 and 1953. I went ahead and bagged and boarded them since they apparently never have been before.

WE WANT HEINICKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For those picking, Heiney is now with the Chargers andhas 2 completions for 24 yards last time I checked this year. :)
Less than a year ago you didn't want us to be able to have the 2nd pick in the draft.
Seems like you're making progress, now to apply some of that to your Prime Time picks to see if you can catch up to me.

Whenever I see Golden Age collections/comics in the wild that surface, it's funny animal books. Always disappointing.

Nice haul! People still buy those, maybe not as much as super hero books but there's still a healthy market for them.

As a child of the 70's those same animals represented large chunks of my tv babysitter time. I see a superhero book here and there but most of the stuff older than this was allegedly destroyed during the war recycling drives. This was the time frame where most superhero books died out other than a few DC's that survived until the Silver age superhero resurgence. These comics are not only older than me, they're older than my mother! Classic precode violence. Some of these are closing in on 80 years old now which would put any original owners left knocking on 90.
It's rather sad. I had a subscriber in his early 70's I'd guess die a few months back and I still can't bring myself to empty his subscription slot.
Really nice man with great grandkids he'd bring with him sometimes and load them up with Scoobys..

Don't get me wrong, I agree with Howie--these are definitely worth picking up, and there is some market for them. Just wish I would turn up some Golden Age super hero or horror books a little more often than not at all. Also looks like you have the first Uncle Scrooge in there I think, so that's good for some $$$.
