"The Doom That Bloomed on Kathulos!"
Witch House is alive with malefic energy. Doctor Strange and his friends have to flee the residence, but the house won't let them leave. With slime dripping from the ceilings and erupting through the floorboards, the Master of Mystic Arts fashions an improvised passageway.
Strange invokes the names of higher powers to accomplish the total demolition of Witch House. But the danger still hasn't passed. The map that he prised from N'Gabthoth indicated Stonehenge as being a place of interest to the disciples of Shuma-Gorath.
It is to that ancient monument that Stephen Strange hies himself, to stand alone against unknown forces. Before long, the sky is full of winged demons. Only a combination of several spells disperses the hideous horde.
Strange spies a light in the sky which glows ever brighter as it approaches Stonehenge's configuration. And before he fully comprehends what's hit him, the good Doctor is catapulted through dimensions to another alien planet.
The planet reveals itself to be a living entity, Kathulos, another servant of the slumbering Shuma-Gorath. Picture a demonic Venus Fly Trap with a human head protruding from its center to envision the horror that presents itself before Strange.
Kathulos takes sadistic pleasure in slowly draining the will and lifeforce from Doctor Strange, until he's completely absorbed the Mage. Therein lies Kathulos' downfall. Strange's consciousness merged with the living planet's grants the sorcerer intimate knowledge to expunge Kathulos' pervasive tendrils like wayward weeds.
But at what cost victory? Strange is marooned on a now lifeless planet with no direction home.
