Like most great titles outside of my regular pull list, I had to jump on the Dracula bandwagon late. But, like most great books I fail to pick up the first time round, I am lucky that there is a second printing. And with The Death of Dracula I was truly lucky to get a second shot at this book.
I loved the overall organization of this book, with the various vampire clans. Truth be told, I've always had a weird obsession with groups being organized into smaller, identifiable sub-groups. I blame the cult classic Warriors movie for this obsession.
At first glance, a casual reader might mistaken this book as capitalizing on the current vampire craze. I honestly didn't get that feeling. Instead, this was good old fashioned comic book drama.
I look forward to following this incarnation in its various forms around the Marvel Universe. It will be a welcome change to see an age old enemy return to challenge our favourite heroes. Regardless of where your allegiances lie, you should pick this book up.
