Old Warriors Never Die or Fade

This 2001 Fury mini-series from Garth Ennis and Jimmy Palmiotti attempt to ask where old warriors go after their prime has left them. In order to answer this question Ennis goes to the master, Alan Moore for inspiration if not outright borrowing. From the Watchmen Ennis takes the Comedian and puts an eye-patch and he got Fury with grand appetites and even grander ego. I enjoyed the first issue and will read on to find out what old warriors do for fun. I mean, Fury needs to know who the enemy is to be at the top of his game, so HYDRA will accommodate. The pace and writing is vintage Ennis in a good day and Palmiotti’s art is always great.
