What an outstanding issue, I mean really a truely this has to be one of the best issues of the series to date, and the weird thing about it is that it achieves this.. without giving mention to Gog or anyone involved in the Thy Kingdom Come storyline which is going on right at this very moment elsewhere on the planet.
This is all about Power Girl and resolving her recent troubles on Earth-2. And it's brilliant!
Geoff Johns and Alex Ross really hit the ball way out the park on this issue, the amount of sheer emotional depth is what grabs the reader here!
Mentioning and giving examples of the emotional depth would be giving away spoilers so unfortunatly, you're going to just have to take me word for it.
But we get everything in this issue, and I mean everthing, and the best bit is is that everything is handled so perfectly, nothing is overdone and nothing is underdone to that matter!
The Earth-2 sub-plot with Power Girl is resolved here in the best way possible, I could not imagine it being done in a better way.
Added ontop with some sweet art by Dale Eaglesham and that guy who draws the Earth-2 stuff, the story is only told in a funkier and more atmospheric way which makes the story so much more interesting and adventurours!
I really have no idea how Geoff Johns can write this well.. I honestly have no idea, I just know that I want to marry him.
