I would have paid for this free comic....

It is always great to get something for nothing (yes and your chicks for free). This all new Avengers story is just about as good as a free comic can get. The art is stellar and the story is just great. Bendis pens a solid story that has both the New and Dark Avengers teamed up to stop a giant ticked off snow cone (ok so not a snow cone but that is what he basically is…on roid rage) with an attitude. Spider-Man is witty, Wolverine and his son are itching for a slug fest and Norman is the voice of reason…let me look at that again. Yes for a moment Norman is the voice of reason (only because Aries lays out that it will take all of them to stop old frosty pants) but makes no bones about wanting to lock the New Avengers up. What you get here is a story that is easily worth paying for and a welcome addition to the Avengers library. It is also I think setting the stage for the no holds action beat down slug fest that we all know is looming for these two teams. The most interesting thing is the relationship between Thor and Aries. Aries makes no bones about being friend and ally to Thor and there is a very visible mutual respect between the two characters. This looming show down will be made all the more interesting if the two refuse to combat each other.

All in all I say well done Marvel for treating your readers to a great story and not taking our first born to get it.
