In general I find Ron Marz's writing pretty good, but in this forced Amalgamation of a comic one feels for the writer as he tries to make something out of the concept of unifying the DC and Marvel universes. This is the first title that I have read in the 1996 attempt to do a crossover between the two giants. I still have another title that came in a bag of three comics for a buck and I don’t expect much. The art is in par with what was being published in the mid 90’s with the female characters very well done; while the male characters are rough in the edges (I can’t explain the observed differences in art quality). But a comic dies if the writing is not up to par and Ron Marz is simply not at his best when dealing with this crossover. I would be interested in hearing from others about the results of this crossover, which I only see as a misguided attempt to waste paper and time for the creators and the reading audience. Even with my comments regarding the art, it nevertheless saved the comic from 1 out of 5.
