After all of the dust has settled, Tony Stark is back in the saddle and trying to figure out how he is going to rebuild both his life and the world. He is penniless, and has a huge gap in his memory which has negated the major happenings of the past 4 years. So what is the next step? Sell that which has caused so many problems over the years, Repulsar Technology!
After guarding RT so closely for most of his life, Tony has decided it is time he share this limitless energy source with the world. You can imagine the reaction the top weapon purchasers had, when Stark called a press conference to announce that he is no longer making weapons. Now imagine the looks on the same people’s faces when he told them that if they don’t buy licences to use Repulsar Technology, they would all be out of date within 5 years. It sounds to me like Tony is about to experience a whole new breed of enemy.
Matt Fraction is really doing a wonderful job writing this book. He has a true feel for the characters and their place within the Marvel Universe. It is not often that I read a book so short on action, and find it hard to put down. I am really pumped for this new direction and can’t wait to see how it plays out.
There were some nice guest appearances by Thor and Reed Richards, and the art was easy on the eyes. All in all, this was a great book. I’m not done my stack yet, but so far, this is the best read of the week.
