Just Nuts!

This book is all kinds of crazy. In fact, David Lapham has to be a little crazy himself to be able to write this kind of craziness. Thing is though, this is exactly what I need in my comic book reading right now. It is a nice break from the superhero landscape, and provides a different feel cerebrally.

When I was younger, I snuck out of bed and went downstairs to watch television. I turned on a episode of Abott and Castello that saw them stuck inside an insane asylum. Believe it or not this television program made me feel more uncomfortable than anything I had seen to date. It just gave me this sickening feeling inside my head. The way people were acting and talking and the overall atmosphere just gave me this weird itch at the back of my brain. This book does the same thing!

In this chapter, "Honeymoon in Waikiki", Deadpool begins planning the rest of his life as a father to Domino's soon to arrive baby. Wade's visions of fatherhood are hilarious! Unfortunately, all of that comes crashing to a halt. I would explain to you how, but I can't. It is just so much crazy wrapped up into a small package that I am not really sure how to accurately describe it in words. This review would quickly spiral into madness itself, and soon I would have the white wagon at my doorstep. So let’s just say this, Wade commits Domino to an institution for the second time and then goes on to slaughter a gang of Japanese Yakuza at a Hawaiian Luau.

This really is a good change of pace story. Check it out if you are in the mood for something that isn't expected to change the continuity of the Marvel Universe. That, and Kyle Baker has this really weird way of drawing sexy women!
