I'm pretty sure I've slowly managed to read every issue in this story arc so far, even though I told myself I would pick it up in trade. Hmm.. so much for that.
Thing is, everyone is always making such a huge fuss about each issue of this 'Old Man Logan' story that I always feel obliged to get the issues and read them.
With this issue, I think that stops, 'cos I reckon I've had enough.
Ever since the first issue in this story arc I never thought the story lived up to all the hype the fans had made about this series.
The plot is weak, I mean.. I don't generally dig stories which 'look into the future' because I think that soils the whole point of continuity... but even for a story about the future, this is still weak and no where near as exciting as people are making this out to be.
I'm not saying the story is
silly, what with the spider-car and everything, I don't mind funny and cool stuff like that, its simply just down to this story not being that good.
The only good thing is about 'Old Man Logan' is undeniably, Steve McNiven's artwork, it is very nice indeed!
But this story arc isn't all its hyped up to be in my eyes at all, its not exciting, its not as dramatic or tense as people are making out. To be honest, I get no thrills from this at all really, only from the artwork.
