Golden Age Stories always have their appeal....

For those of us who have not been exposed to comic-book stories from the 40's and 50's, most of them were well written and creatively drawn books. This issue is no exception. Mt favorite story in this issue is the Hawkman story. I really like how the story is readily encompassed and shown no sign of needing to be continued elsewhere. As most of take note from life in general, the past always seems to come back and bite us in some-way. This story is no exception. It appears that a magical construct ring has passed down through-out history and accumulated evil on it's way. Now it finally manages to pass into a community of Hawks. Carter's friend, a hawk which I never been able to fathom a name on, informs him of the goings-on and that he best help before hunters take out the normally peaceful community of hawks. For the time-period I think 10 cents made this a bargain book. Happy reading.....
