Now in school, an "
F" either:
A)
denoted a failing grade or
B)
represented the bra-size of a girl to which you should seriously consider asking to prom. But just because there's 2 F's in the title of this comic doesn't mean it should be considered a double-failure or a cup-size reserved only for porn.
In this issue, Reed and the Council of Doom, made up of some of the FF's most vile villains, discusses the best option to take down the Council of Reeds. Sure, there's some other stuff going on in the issue but there's so many different storylines going on in this book, I feel like I'm watching LOST again. It's awesome.
FF is now four issues in, and it's consistantly good. It's been several months since the death of Johnny Storm and the world has kept right on turning in the world of Reed, Susan, Ben and Pete.
And it should. I'm so glad Marvel relaunched this title and kept Jonathan Hickman as writer. The dialogue is simple and perfect for this title. Not only that, I have come to love Spider-Man on this team. Brian Michael Bendis can spin a good yarn, but I think Hickman's portrayal of Peter Parker filling in for Johnny Storm has been both believable and fitting. I throw my $2.99 down without blinking. Oh, and someone phone Marvel and tell them to PLEASE keep Barry Kitson on this book!
Downside? The scene featured on the cover never takes place in the book. BUT WHO CARES??? It's still awesome, and if you're not reading FF, shame on you. Drop a book with either the words "
GREEN", "
ULTIMATE" or "
WAR" in the cover title and start buying Future Foundation.
You can start by heading over to
