Goodness me, what a thrill ride. Green Lantern is an outstanding book at the moment. One of DC's best.
Geoff John's delivers another top notch issue following our favourite emerald warrior as he engages in this war of lights against some pretty brutal enemies!
This issue went back to the good pace that suits it, as I thought the previous issue moved a little too fast. This was set an enjoyable pace, still quite fast, but levelled out well against the high impact of the plot!
You get some pretty shocking and ground breaking spoilers in this issue with regards to the secret of the Blue Lantern's power rings. You also get some spoilers on other stuff too, but I really don't want to spoil anything, but hear me when I say, it makes an exciting read! Very exciting indeed!
John's writing is full of power and emotion, it's really great to read and it draws you in like no other DC book I've been reading.
The dialogue is firm as always here and constructive.
I love the narrative here too, it fits with the atmosphere of the book perfectly.
The Origins & Omen's bit was fairly pointless and made one part of the story a bit confusing with regards to Hal Jordan, but hey.. what can you do if DC wanna add random crap at the end of a book.
Still, the issue itself was great! It gets you hyped up and ready for The Blackest Night, which will hit us soon!
