I really have enjoyed this book. It is a little off the beaten path, but I think that is why I have enjoyed it since its inception.
This issue focuses on three seperate sub-plots unfolding within Osborn's "Dark Reign".
One portrays Trauma as a superhero struggling with the age old conflict, "Do the wrong thing to save a loved one, or stand up and do the right thing regardless of the consequences." So far he has taken the easy route, and obediently tries to prepare Penance back for the field.
The second story deals with The Hood, and his concerns over losing control of "42", the superhero containment unit in the Negative Zone.
The third sees the heroes on the run taking care of business in a manner that is somewhat more brutal than their usual approach. Tigra, is out for blood, thanks to the way Osborn and The Hood treated her.
Sandoval's art fits very nicely with the tone of this book. And Christos Gage really works well with these less than mainstream characters. All in all, another solid read.
