Uniquely Normal Villain

I'm not really sure what it was with X-reads this week but here is another one of Uncanny's ugly little step sisters outshining her!

I am not going to lie to you, the initial few issues of this story arc horrified me. I mean, meat sentinels! But somehow, Warren Ellis was able to make a believer out of me in the end.

The highlight of this issue had to be the reveal of who the villain was. Or better yet, the motives of the villain. It was so simple that it was amazing. I won't give it away, but boy did the villain put the mutants' "struggle" into perspective. He basically said what many of us have been thinking for a long, long time.

Ellis really seemed to grow with these characters. He somehow twisted them in a way that worked well with both his story and their rich histories. So thank you for making a believer out of me Mr. Ellis. Job well done!
