It is hard to imagine how Max will get out of this one, but what is harder to imagine is how difficult it is to reform oneself after a life of criminality.
Mark Waid has taken a very hard path in trying to elicit a sympathetic response from readers for the travails of Max Damage as we are introduced to his past criminal life and their consequences.
I still see it as a hard sell, but one that Mark Waid is trying to accomplish in an entertaining way.
