A poor man laments that his crippled daughter's birthday goes without a present, when he happens upon a doll in a field. The daughter loves the doll, and insists that it is alive. The doll is actually a stranded alien, who is rescued by its people. They reward the child's kindness by restoring her withered limbs. 5 pages.

Scientist Sydney Burr had never had much success, but when a lab accident bathes him in electronic rays, he finds himself moving in a world where time stands still. He has the idea to steal the valuables from everyone frozen in time before he restarts the time stream. He learns to his dismay when the police knock on his door, his crime was less than perfect. 4 pages.
"Enter...the Robot!"

The foreman of the mining operation hears of his Boss' plan to place robots in the mines. The foreman sees this as the end of his career, and sabotages the robot on its trial run. A cave-in takes place, trapping the foreman and the robot, and the Boss radios the foreman to say not to worry, that the robot is designed to dig him to safety. If only he hadn't ruined his only hope of rescue. 5 pages.
