*The ancient walled city of Monanti has fallen to an army of the underground-dwelling Talpid. The ring-leader, Baas, has captured King Ulas and High Priest Iris Murko.
The city's greatest warriors, the Predator Defense League, were tranquilized and put into prison cells.
But several members of PDL's Donti Squad are at large -- Exy and Kyni have been observing their enemy, rookie Ross has become a hero to a group of children, and Petra has been following the trail of their leader, Claw.
Last, but not least, Lilli Murko and the little Talpid girl in her care were rescued by wall-maker Pax. Taken outside the city walls, the dinosaur horde followed the trio into the woods and up a tree.
