A murder convict attempts escape and is shot. He doesn't die, but his spirit leaves his body, moving about as if a ghost. While in spirit form, he encounters a powerful attorney, and compels him to represent his appeal. The murderer overplays his hand, however, and his control over the lawyer dulls the lawyer's effectiveness. The appeal is lost, and the convict gets the gas chamber. 4 pages.

A clerk in the 1700's has dreams of adventure that contrast with his dull life. He leaves his life behind to join an ocean voyage to the New World. Sure that he is sailing to a better life, Robinson Caruso leaves Europe unaware of what fate may hold for him. 4 pages.

A barrage of meteors strike Earth. A man is caught in one impact, and the fragments orbit him like satellites, causing him to shrink.
