Collects the Dennis the MEnace daily strips from 1955-1956.
Like the two previous volumes, there is a lot to like in Hank Ketcham’s Complete Dennis the Menace: 1955-1956. Hank Ketcham is admired for his skills of creating single-panel cartoons for so long on Dennis the Menace. Other things about the the strip are its star and setting. The star a boy who exercises his misbehavior in a world that so many of us wished actually existed. A happy, safe world of middle class neighborhoods where Dennis pulls pranks on policeman without any legal response. Dennis spends time being a pal with the neighborhood mailman, who was know by all as a true friend. Imagine a place where a five-year old boy can walk down main street, alone and harass shop owners, barbers, and shoppers without the thought of being hurt or kidnapped. You also see Dennis hang out in the park with young anyone who treats him like a friend. With no parents in sight.
