*While supervising a mass evacuation from the planet Empyrium, which is being torn apart by unexplained geological force, the Andromedans receive an emergency transmission from an old and dear friend. Former crewmate Rev Bem had left on a spiritual quest of redemption more than a year ago, and now he’s on the surface of Empyrium with a most unusual companion: a shining entity that appears in the form of Rev Bem’s mother. As Dylan, Tyr and Beka search the planet for both their friend and a band of renegades, they discover that Rev Bem has been miraculously transformed into a new entity, the evil of his prior Magog existence completely exorcised.
