Origin: Layla was one of the most promising operatives L.E.G.I.O.N. ever had, and to test her competence, Vril Dox put her in command of a search team sent to explore an extradimensional alien vessel. Accompanied by Lobo, the team encountered seven vicious and predatory parasites, who tore them apart. Only Lobo and Layla survived the attacks, and Layla found herself changed - hardened - into one tough customer. Look out, Lobo - there's a "main woman" in town.
