*X-Factor is a super heroic team whose stated purpose is to locate new mutants, and then teach them how to control their powers. Their task has become increasingly difficult because of the rampant anti-mutant hysteria sweeping the United States. But this hysteria has made X-Factor even more determined to help their fellow mutants. Ultimately, they hope mankind and mutantkind will be able to live together in peace.
