Its members include the former X-Men Nightcrawler, Shadowcat and Phoenix, England's greatest super hero champion, Captain Britain, and the mutant changeling, Meggan. Excalibur's adventures have brought them to several dimensions and many bizarrely different versions of our world. On many occasions, the team has prevented extra-dimensional super-powered menaces from conquering Earth.
