*The first day of shooting on stargate SG-1 was a complete disaster. It didn't just rain, it poured. Poor Christopher Judge wasn't used to a shaved head, and nearly froze to death. We couldn't use much of his coverage on that day because his lip was quivering too much. On top of that, an entire film roll had a long deep scratch in the negative, running right through Michael Shank's(sic) face scene after scene. It cost us thousands of dollars to repair it with visual effects. In the end, I don't think we used more than a couple of those shots out of an entire day of shooting. If someone had told me that day this series would run eight seasons, I would have said they were crazy.
