*After being exposed to the deadly mixture of tissue regenerating solution, sewage and bullets, corrupt detective Frank Hoag became Sludge. He's driven by the instinct to survive, the need for nourishment, and a rage he doesn't fully comprehend. As his physical features change, so does his rage - into a hunting instinct that drives him to seek out violence and corruption and destroy it. Sludge is a tortured soul in a grossly malformed body, longing for a past he can barely recall.
