History:
Cletus Kasady was a psychotic serial killer even before he acquired his alien symbiote. He shared a cell in Ravencroft with Eddie Brock a.k.a. Venom. Venom waited until his alien symbiote gathered strength and broke out of prison. Unknown to Eddie at the time, the alien left behind an offspring at the prison. This offspring symiote bonded with Cletus Kasady. Cletus Kasady's first stint as Carnage began as a killing spree in New York City. It took the combined efforts of Spider-Man and Venom to defeat him. Carnage soon broke out of Ravencroft again. This time he recruited sevaral villains to his cause including Shriek, Doppleganger Spider-Man, Demogoblin, & Carrion. Their killing spree is the largest murderous rampage to date in the Marvel Universe. They actually incitied murderous riots to rise within the civilain population. It took a team of heroes to take them down including: Spider-Man, Venom, The Black Cat, Cloak & Dagger, and Firestar. Carnage again appeared during the Planet of the Symbiotes storyline, which took place during the infamous Clone Saga era. Earth was overrun with an invasion force of alien symbiotes. Carnage soon took advantage of the chaos and went on another spree. The combined efforts of Spider-Man, Venom, and The Scarlet Spider stopped Carnage and the alien menace in the end. Carnage has appeared sporadically here and there since then. There was also an Ultimate version of the character created in Ultimate Spider-Man. Currently, the Carnage symbiote is presumed dead in the vacuum of space, placed there by The Sentry. Cletus Kasady is currently held in Ravencroft Instutute.

It would be great if they get carnage in Spider-Man 4 movie!

I know what he means. In Maximum Carnage they tried to fit it in there that the Symbiote lived in his bloodstream, and therefore couldn't be separated from him. It worked for that storyline, but nobody seemed to use after that. Don't know what happened to that. It'll probably be the loophole to bring him back when they want to.

Na, I remember they did it in "Planet of the Symbiotes" also. If Cletus Kasady doesn't bleed, Carnage can't be released, for the most part.

Once he has become Carnage, he can do everything Eddie can do as Venom. Change "clothes", control the symbiote and change back and forth from Kasady to Carnage.

Here's where they differ:
If Eddie and Kasady are separated from their Symbiotes, they've lost their "powers". However, The Symbiote lives in Kasady's blood also. So even if he's not reunited with that same exterior symbiote, if he bleeds he came become Carange again. Obviously Venom cannot. Make sense?

God think of that advantage, even if you attack him when he is not carnage, the second the sucker gets a nose bleed you are screwed.

Well, basically, it just happened. It's a simple as that. The Symbiotes aren't attached to their young like we are, so they just birth the thing then split. It's so unimportant to them that the Venom symbiote didn't even mention spawning Carnage to Eddie until Carnage actually appeared fully bonded with Cletus Kasady.
