"Shake Hands with Satan!"
Ghost Rider finds himself in the midst of a dilemma. Johnny Blaze has been mortally wounded, and, as Ghost Rider, he flees from the authorities down desert roads, Roxanne by his side. If he gives himself up, Roxanne will be safe. If he keeps running, his supernatural powers will disappear at sun rise, and Blaze's wounds will kill him.
Despair drives him to capitulate, and he offers his only bargaining chip, his immortal soul - to Satan. Roxanne, the love of Johnny Blaze's life pleads with him not to surrender himself to the Prince of Lies.
One of Satan's emissaries, the Witch Woman, appears to escort Blaze to the Fiery Pits of Hellâ„¢ for Satan to finally claim his soul, but she also intends to take Roxanne, despite Ghost Rider's protests.
Elsewhere, at the Apache reservation, the Exorcist Daimon Hellstrom arrives to help with a possessed woman. As night falls, he asks to be bound with special chains and locked in his room. His hosts fail at this task, letting the spirit of the Son of Satan free.
As Ghost Rider struggles with Witch Woman, Big Daddy Dawson's gang catches up with them, intent on revenge. Witch Woman has no time for earthly trifles, and teleports herself and Ghost Rider to Hell, leaving Roxanne at the tender mercy of the biker gang.
In Hell, Satan prepares to pierce Ghost Rider's heart with his sword, which will enslave Johnny Blaze forever. An unseen presence shouts for him to stop, throwing Satan into a state of fear...
